| About the Standard Repertoire Project The sixth year of our summer offering brings a name change to the Standard Repertoire Project, to more accurately reflect the features of the program. Once again we’ll feature operas out of the classic repertoire in semi-staged readings (now mostly memorized) and with even more emphasis on dramatic aspects. The Standard Repertoire Project (SRP) is the primary developmental opportunity we provide for singers, and consists of careful coaching, text preparation and rehearsal. Each participating singer has the chance to add to their own repertoire a meticulously prepared new role which they can use to seek future singing engagements. Our presentations offer audiences a glimpse into the process of learning a role, while witnessing talented and exciting young artists singing what is usually their first performance of a new role, or sometimes any major role! |
