dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s training and performance opportunities are offered free of charge to singers and our performance at affordable prices to the public. Our funding comes from our supportive audience of committed individual donors, as well as foundations and corporate giving programs, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts. Your gifts, small and large, are not only welcome, but crucial to our survival, and our ability to continue serving emerging opera artists and other developing production personnel.

It has been said that opera is the most all-encompassing art form, and for that reason, it is also the most expensive to produce. Our focus is on direct, simple productions that promote great singing, great music, and great drama, offering accessible performances to diverse modern audiences of all ages, incomes, and interests.

dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s activities include at least two fully staged and costumed productions with chamber orchestra each summer.  Modest ticket prices account for less than 30% production costs.  Please consider supporting dell’Arte so that we can continue to help artists in their development, and offer thrilling operatic experiences to audiences of new and old friends like you.
