    Soprano Samantha Scully can be seen this season as Frantik/Cricket/Ensemble in Janáček’s Příhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen) with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Valencienne in Lehár’s The Merry Widow with Southold Opera, and  Shirley Temple in Robert Ashely’s Dust at the New School. Recent operatic credits include Ensemble in the United States premiere of Philip Glass’s Kepler at the Spoleto Festival USA, as well as partial roles of Violetta in La Traviata, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Mathilde in Guillaume Tell, Eurydice in Orphée et Eurydice, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the title role in L’incornazione di Poppea. She has been heard as a concert soloist in Faure’s Requiem, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah. Ms. Scully holds degrees in voice from Mannes College, The New School of Music and Westminster Choir College.
