    Rachel Barg (Melchora in Juana) recently graduated from the University of Michigan with her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Freda Herseth. Last summer she performed Olga in concert performances of Eugene Onegin with the Eurasia Festival. In 2018, she originated the role of Arinyae in the world premiere of Theodore Christman’s A Metamorphosis. Rachel covered and performed Dame Quickly in Falstaff with Martina Arroyo’s Prelude to Performance. She recently reprised the role of Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro under the baton of Martin Katz. Other recent performances include Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Older Woman in Flight, Baba the Turk in The Rake’s Progress, and Third Lady in The Magic Flute. She currently resides in New York City and studies with Bonnie Hamilton.
