    Olivia Betzen made her debut in the New York Festival of Song in 2014 as part of their NYFOS Next series curated by Mark Adamo and friends, and her Weill Hall debut performance as the Grand Prize winner in Art Song of the 2014 Metropolitan International Music Festival. She was a ‘Rising Star’ at Caramoor studying with Steven Blier and Michael Barrett, participated in Peter Mark’s Singer Showcase at the Opera Center, and a recital performance with Tom Muraco as part of the Art Song Preservation Society of New York. She made her role debut as Susanna with dell’arte Opera last season.  Olivia has had the privilege to work with other great artists such as Martin Katz, Margo Garrett, John Wustmann, and Teresa Berganza.  She has a special love of sacred music, contemporary music, Spanish music, Czech music and the art of the song recital. She completed both her undergraduate (2010) and masters degrees (2011) in music at the University of Kansas.  She continued her graduate work at the University of Michigan with a performance certificate (2013). Upcoming performances include the title role in Massenet’s opera Manon with Dell’arte Opera, August 2016.  She can also be heard regularly as a cantor at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in NYC.
