    Dominican tenor Jose Heredia was 1st Prize winner in New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera’ 2014 International Vocal Competition, and an encouragement award winner in the 2015 Giulio Gari International Vocal Competition.  He attended Nyack College School of Music and Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Dana Talley and Migon Dunn. After making his debut as Rodolfo in La Bohème with the NJ Association of Verismo Opera in 2014, Mr. Heredia sang leading roles in Rigoletto, Carmen, Un ballo in Maschera, L’elisir d’amore, and Tosca with companies including NJAVO, Westside Opera Society, Bravo Alliance and Amore Opera. Mr. Heredia made his oratorio debut in 2012 as tenor soloist in Handel’s “Messiah” at the Cadet Chapel in West Point, NY; He has toured Italy, Puerto Rico, and South Korea, where he sang over 30 concerts (some televised via NBC Korea). Jose is a Resident Artist and soloist with the Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus. He currently studies with Dana Talley and Tamie Laurance.
