    Jay Lucas Chacon recently made his debut with Center for Contemporary Opera in their Developmental Series’ reading of Scott Wheeler’s The Sorrows of Frederick. Previously with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Jay has performed as Barone Douphol in La Traviata and Figaro in the Paisiello Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In NYC, Mr. Chacon has been seen as The Count in Capriccio with Apotheosis Opera, where he debuted as Handsome in La Fanciulla del West, George Page in Sir John in Love with Bronx Opera and as Marco and covering the title role in Gianni Schicchi with ARE Opera.  Regionally, Mr. Chacon as performed Innkeeper/Governor in Man of La Mancha with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Marullo in Rigoletto with Teatro Lirico d’Europa, Marchese d’Obigny in La Traviata with MidAtlantic Opera Company Schaunard in La bohème with Long Island Opera Company, and covered Schaunard with Saint Petersburg Opera Company.
