Heather Jones

    Heather Jones (Alcina in La liberazione di Ruggiero) is an American mezzo who brings nuance and immediacy to her work, regardless of era or language. She has sung such beloved mezzo roles as Hansel, Rosina, Dorabella, Cherubino, Charlotte, and Orlofsky, and sang the role of Dorothée in Cendrillon earlier this summer with Opera Company of Middlebury. Heather has also workshopped and premiered contemporary works with Opera Philadelphia, Opera Fayetteville, the Albany Symphony, American Lyric Theatre, Sign & Sing NYC, and Seagle Music Colony. She recently appeared with Opera Saratoga in a historic, fully-orchestrated production of The Cradle Will Rock as Sister Mister; and with Light Opera of New York in The Island of Tulipatan as Théodorine. She is featured on the cast recordings of both productions, which are available on Spotify. Heather holds degrees in music from Westminster Choir College and Mannes School of Music and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
