    Gabriel Hernandez (Vanox in Princess Maleine) is a recipient of a 2019 Careers Bridges Grant from the Career Bridges Foundation. During the 2018-19 season, Puerto Rican-American tenor Gabriel Hernandez will make his role and company debut as Alfredo in La Traviata with New Rochelle Opera, return to dell’Arte Opera to sing Vanox in the world premiere of Whitney George and Bea Goodwin’s Princess Maleine, and sing the principal role in Garden State Opera’s world premiere of Silk City. In the 2017-18 season, Mr. Hernandez joined New Amsterdam Opera to cover the role of Don Gaspar in La Favorita, performed the role of Mozart in Rimsky Korsakov’s Mozart and Salieri and sang Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble. While studying at Florida State University under the Carlisle Floyd Opera Endowment, Gabriel studied Bel Canto repertoire for two seasons with one of Bel Canto’s most informed specialists.
