    Flávia Darcie (title role in Juana) is a Brazilian mezzo-soprano based in NYC.  Recent credits include the award-winning immersive theatrical experience Voyeur: The Windows of Toulouse-Lautrec with Bated Breath Theater Company, Iemanjá Project with International Brazilian Opera Company, Aria Throwdown with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, recitals with The Opera Collective, the roles of Hildegard von Bingen in the new opera Waiting for the Rain, Poeta in Prima la musica e poi le parole and Chinese Tea Cup and Dragonfly in L’enfant et les sortileges.  She holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in Choir and Orchestral Conducting from FAAM, located in São Paulo, where she as born and raised.  Last year Flávia released “Unmasking”, her debut album of experimental music.  mezzoflaviadarcie.com
