    Soprano Emily Hughes is thrilled to be performing again with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble. Last season, Emily received a Jeiven Award for her performances in the ensemble of Manon and as Lisette in scenes from La Rondine. Other past operatic roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Despina (cover) in Così fan tutte with Connecticut Lyric Opera, Elsa in The Grand Duke with Utopia Opera, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel at Brooklyn College, and Messaggera in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo with DePaul Opera Theatre. She has been a soprano soloist for Carmina Burana and Vivaldi’s Gloria and has given several world premiere performances of concert works. In addition to her work on new compositions, Emily is passionate about performing early music. She sings with the New York Continuo Collective and has performed at the Amherst Early Music Festival, the Boston Early Music Festival, and with Haymarket Opera Company.
