Elyse Anne Kakacek is an award-winning soprano praised for her passionate and artful performances in opera, oratorio and contemporary music.  Most recently, Elyse made her Carnegie Hall debut premiering the works of Georgia Shreve under the direction of Howard Cass. She has performed over 30 operatic roles in Chicago and New York City, some favorites including Norina in Don Pasquale, Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Pamina in Die Zauberflote. An avid interpreter of new music, her recent work with Experiments in Opera (Symphony Space) and Chicago Fringe Opera have been particularly rewarding. On the concert stage, Elyse has most recently been heard as the Soprano Soloist for Bach’s St. John Passion in NYC.
