Christine Lyons

    Christine Lyons (title role in Anna Bolena) has most recently sung Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly with Baltimore Concert Opera and Leonora in Il Trovatore National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. She appeared in concert with Annapolis Opera, Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Tuscon Desert Song Festival and the Ravinia Festival. In 2018-19, Lyons performed Norma with Winter Opera Saint Louis, and the title role in La Straniera with Teatro Nuovo at Lincoln Center. Concert performances included Exsultate, jubilate with the Queens Symphony Orchestra, St. Veronica Orchestra of New York, and Spectrum Symphony of New York, as well as Stabat Mater with Teatro Nuovo. Earlier concert performances include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marin Alsop. Christine is the Grand Prize Winner of the Mary Trueman Art Song Vocal Competition and has garnered top awards from several prestigious national and international competitions. An alumna of Peabody Conservatory and Carnegie Mellon University, she completed further studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
