Kansas native, Andrew Jurden is a recent recipient of a bachelor’s degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music. Andrew will sing Schaunard with the Vienna Summer Music Festival’s production of La Bohème and cover Papageno in their production of Die Zauberflöte. Recently, he sang the Bass solo in Mozart’s Requiem with the Manhattan School of Music Symphonic Chorus and a new arrangement of Charles Ives’ “General William Booth Enters Into Heaven” with The Manhattan School of Music Sax Ensemble, Forrester in Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen and a Gypsy chorister in Johann Strauss’ Der Zigeunerbaron. In addition, he has sung in scenes from Un Ballo in Maschera and Le Nozze di Figaro and Così fan tutte with Washington National Opera’s Institute for Youn Singers, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with The New York Philharmonic and The Manhattan School of Music Symphonic Chorus, and David Lang’s Little Match Girl Passion at The Metropolitan Museum of Art with the Manhattan School of Music Chamber Choir.
