    Adria Caffaro

    Adria Caffaro is a mezzo-soprano originally from Omaha, Nebraska. Currently based out of New York City, Caffaro has performed with Cincinnati Opera for the past three seasons where she performed the roles of  Ida in Die Fledermaus, Mary O’Fallin in Morning Star, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Madeleine Audebert in Silent Night, as well as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro and Rosina in The Barber of Seville for Cincinnati Opera’s Outbound program. Caffaro is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and received her Master of Music and Artist Diploma degrees.  Roles performed at CCM include Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Aloès  in L’etoile, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Tisbe in  La Cenerentola, and Jennie Hildebrand in Street Scene.  Caffaro has also participated in several new work commissions and workshops through the CCM Opera Fusion program for Gregory Spears’ opera Fellow Travelers, a workshop for the late Daniel Catán’s Meet John Doe, and a role in the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s opera Morning Star. In addition to CCM, further training involves participation as a studio artist with Central City Opera in Colorado and the AIMS Institute in Graz, Austria.
