Nicholas Connolly spent the last season as a Resident Artist with Dicaop Opera Theatre, where his credits included Sciarrone (Tosca), Father (Beauty and the Beast), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Baron Duphuol (La Traviata), and covered Joe (The Most Happy Fella), John Sorel (The Consul), and Germont (La Traviata).  Other credits: Mr. Gobineau (The Medium), Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre; Papageno (The Magic Flute), Henry (Henry’s Wife), Vernon (Summer and Smoke), Hagen (Animal Opera), Ctésippe (Pénélope), Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater; Imperial Commissioner (Madama Butterfly), Opera New Jersey; Orson (Too Many Sopranos), PORTopera; Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas), Lyric Theatre of The College of New Jersey; Vicomte Cascada (Die lustige Witwe), Gloster Heming & Herman Atlan (The Mother of Us All), George Jones (Street Scene), Opera at Rutgers. He was given Honorable Mention in the Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition (2011) and was a finalist in the Arkadi Foundation Opera Idol Competition (2012).  A student of Mark Oswald, Nicholas holds a Master’s in Music from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor’s of Music from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
